Planning and Zoning Board/Local Planning Agency
The Town’s Planning and Zoning Board/Local Planning Agency is an appointed board charged with recommending to the Town Council the boundaries of the various zoning districts, appropriate regulations to be enforced, and any proposed amendments to the existing zoning districts. The P&Z/LPA board collects data and stays informed of best practices in the matters of planning and zoning, so that it can recommend measures affecting the present and future movement of traffic, the location of residential and business districts, and the convenience and safety of persons and property.
The Town’s Planning and Zoning Board/Local Planning Agency consists of 5 members and 2 alternates, as well as one non-voting member appointed by the school board.
Trails and Greenways Committee
The Trails and Greenways Committee is a 5 member committee with 2 alternate members. The committee makes recommendations to the Town Council regarding the design and location of trails and multi-use pathways.
